Hansel and Gretel c. 1920

Sunday I went to the Columbus Flea Market and visited Geno Sartori. It's been a while, and he did not disappoint. Geno always has interesting scraps, bridge tallies and paper-cutting of all kinds. I'm taking a wild guess on the year of this vintage scrap of Hansel and Gretel.

  1. They're lovely.
O.K., I may be asking a stupid question, but where are the rest of their bodies? I got a little chuckle when I imagined that maybe you're supposed to attach the paper parts to either end of a little sausage. But seriously, what are you supposed to do with them?

  2. You take some Dennison crepe paper and create a skirt or pair of pants. I'll post an example of how this looks.
